My two cents on stolen teggy's
There is no real point to this post; I just feel like saying something in regards to our cars getting stolen. I haven't been a member of honda-tech for that long but since I've joined I have been on the integra and ITR forums...I find this site very useful and it's great to find others who treasure their tegs as much as I do. For this reason I can feel the pain that comes with getting your car stolen, as I did a few years ago. My first teg was an LS...really run down and practically everything was wrong with it. I spent a lot of time, sweat and money (as most of you do too) bringing the car back to good condition and started modding it.
Well, one morning I woke up and headed out to find my car missing. I couldn't believe my eyes...and I really mean I couldn't believe my eyes; I thought I was hallucinating when my car wasn't in it's spot. I was so distraught I tried going to another spot to look at my parking space, thinking that my eyes are playing tricks on me. Well, my car was gone but the police found it 3 weeks later stripped and practically mutilated sitting on four donuts on the side of a road. It was considered a total.
I've moved on to a new teg but it will never be the same. I hate it when people say it's just a car...because it's not...it's like saying your house is just a house; it is the place you grew up in...where relationships took place, where time was spent....so a house is not just a house, as a car is not just a car. I just wanna say that I feel for all you ITR owners who have had your teggy's stolen. Best of luck with getting the cars back and I hope they're all in decent form when they come back. I apologize for the long post...but I think this issue deserves the attention and thank you all for reading.

I concur, well said.
to the guy in the 'are you as **** as I' thread that decided anyone who cares about their itr and hates to see a new dent (or any dent!) is an elitist, condescending fool. Anyone who spends time and money on their car and is a real enthusiast can connect with what you are saying. It's way more than 'just a car'....

Just keep in mind that although it is more then just a car, it is also not worth dying or going to jail for.
Just keep that in mind in the event you catch someone trying to steal your car.

nicely put. after all, it IS just a car to most. but to those of us that spend most of your money and time on it, its NOT just a car. its part of our lives and it hurts to lose something like that.

It is something that we should keep in mind but nonetheless, it does not devalue how much our cars mean to us.The situation actually happened to my friend and I. I won't get into details though cuz I don't wanna post another long post...but we did the smart thing and called the police and got them thrown in jail instead of being rash and getting ourselves thrown into jail.
Well, I think mine is just a car, but it's MY ******* car.
What pisses me off about theft is the lack of respect for ME, not the car. I'd be pissed if I drove a total POS and it got stolen. It has nothing to do with the car. I take it as a personal assault.
