Front Tint Question. How many inches?

Hello I was going to get front tint ( black strip on the top of a windshield) How many inches does everyone get? Pictures would be great too. thanks

This could be illegal in many states so I would check on that. Also, the "brows" that are too thick can look tacky.

I always wanted 4" done to my windshield!

There are small arrows on both sides of the windshield that have I want to say three letters like APT or something. Usually if you are allowed to tint the front you can't go below those arrows.
