I'm bulding my first high hp drag civic and i'm looking for some feedback on wheels and tires...

The car is an EGHatch with a dart b20 producing around 800hp
Transmission is -mfactory gears (3.00/2.00/1.39/1.09 and 4.00FD)
@ 9500 rpm...

I would like to go for 24.5" high slicks on 13" wheels
But since they only go up to 9" wide i would like to know if i should consider 15" wheels with 10.5/26" tires? (10.5 is max regulated in the s/m 10.5 class)

What will be the benefits of both?
And why?

Anybody who can help me out?

 

Oh and BTW tracks in Holland (europe) are not as great as in the states...
We use an old airfield with some rubber but no preperation.
This may make a drifrence so i thought let u know

But why will they spin?
Because the tire circumference is shorter or
Because the tire isnt wide enough? (or both)

At what power level will 26" tire perform better then the 24.5"?

I need substantiated information to learn something...

Ive seen video's of people going 9's on the 24.5's so it can't be that bad...?

 

You said you're in an airfield that has no prep. That'd be why the 26's were suggested. You'll spin the 24's
