Hi Guys! In the market for a new car and currently debating between a TL and 3 Series BMW. Besides transmission issues as I see you guys discussing any other issues these cars have that I should be aware of? Thank you in advance for your help!

I think the handling alone with the TL is a high mark over the BMW. Although, I know BMW has ramped up many of their 2012 models, specifically the SUVs with more power. 2010/2011 TL had great crash test scores. TL has more of a spacious cabin than the BMW, although the BMW base model has great ride/handling aspects, but that's strictly a base model.

Are you looking for a souped up Series 3, because then the price can soar if that's the case. The base TL has great features out the gate.
