Wrecked my 8th Gen SI. Does this look like a bent tie rod?
Hey everyone. My little brother wrecked my SI last Sunday, and insurance is taking a long time to do their thing, so I thought maybe I would fix the car myself if it's simple enough. He got t-boned at a low speed so the side is banged up, and the alignment is screwed. I got the wheel off and saw the that inner tie rod looked bent and figured if I replace that than it should be drive-able until insurance comes through. What do you guys think?
The inner and out tie rods should both be replaced. that my not be the only thing that bent. i wouldn't drive the car too much just in case there is damage to the control arms that could fail while driving.
That's a very good point. My brother needs the car to get to school, so I'll fix it and have him take the back roads (35mph speed limit) to get there. Hopefully that should be alright until we get it into a shop.

I would just leave it as is and try not to do it and let insurance do there thing. Why replace something that is going to be replace by insurance?
Might as well let insurance do they're thing. No need to come out of pocket especially after already waiting a week they should respond soon. Good luck though
