95 gsr or ls transmission
i went to my local shop yesterday got my axles, axle seals replaced. and to my knowledge my transmission was an 90 LS transmission so i told him that/ he asked obviously so when he orders the parts they fit.. turns out when he ordered the parts they all came in wrong sizes...because my transmission is a 95 gsr transmission? where did the word gsr even come from? the guys who my mechanic ordered the parts came back and checked my transmission? how can i tell?
my car right now its a 1990 acura integra rs but i converted to stick and bought a transmission from a friend for 200 bucks i dont know what year the car was that the tranny came from cuz my friend bought it off a guy from craigslist .......

your probably wondering how is the tranny even on the car with out you knowing what year or if its a gsr or ls..i had one of my other friends cousin convert my car, i just gave him the tranny and he supplied me with the clutch kit and parts for the job. so he might of not checked or it just being an 95 ls tranny he used 95 gsr parts? so when the mechanic came back he compared parts and took it from therE? idk im confused...i doubt its a gsr tranny tho .....my friend wouldnt of let it go for so cheap
The vibe or serial will be in the front of it. The vin will be a green tag next to where it bolts to the block and tge serial is just to the left of it on a white sticker. Give us the numbers from one of those 2 tags
you car is cable.no way you have a 95 integra trans cause they are hydraulic.guy at the shop is bs'ng you .take whatever he says with a grain of salt.

90-93 DA and DB1 integras came out with the y1 s1 j1 and the ys1 tranny i believe the s1 is the ls tranny with the longer gears, j1 and y1 were the gsr tranny, i think. but if its a cable tranny its not a 95 gsr tranny.
OH KOOL. yea well, this tranny i learned to drive stick, i dont plan on keeping it forever ,,this is my project car and i want to get a gsr or si tranny eventually along with a gsr or b16 head.
ill check my readings tomorrow morning, im on 205/40/17s right now. shouldnt make things off too much. i have a sticker on mine but all it says is y80/s80 which is pretty broad.
S1 is '90 - '91. The year of the transmission doesn't matter for axle seals. What matters is what driver's side axle and intermediate shaft was used. '90 - '93 used a different seal than '94 - '01. Passenger's side doesn't matter, they used the same axles from '90 - '01.
