So what i am looking for is interior parts for where the spare tire is. What i want is to make that area much more solid than the stock cheap *** wood with carpet, and a cargo lid. i have a 92 hatch.

 

go to hardware store. get some wood. cut it to size. glue some carpet to it. wala

Ya i guess i could do that but was hopping for more of a factory look. I have seen some eg's with like a plastic cover with a lift handle. idk i'm just open to options right now.

 

That is the Jdm gathers conversion. It's nice but it cost more than I paid for my hatch. I used a 1/8-1/4" mdf board and it looked like the stock board but 1000x stronger. I also used come material similar to the stock board but it was thicker and much stronger. I screwed some 1x1 strips of wood underneath for added support because I had over 100lbs of subs on top. Plywood is another good one but I have always hated how easy it was to get splinters. One option would be use the plywood with 1x1's underneath and cover it in plati-dip
