Big problems...I used to have a 160whp 143wtq Prelude VTEC....I would launch at 5000-6000 and just modulate the clutch gas and blaze through the 60'

Now I have a 210whp 165wtq Prelude H23 VTEC hybrid, Kaaz LSD and all I can do is eat tires!

I have no Idea how to get it going with this much torque, and we are having a drag day in a week....my tires will spin WOT at any point in 1st gear. I have Toyo T1-S and I don't have any drag radials available. Any ideas? should I just go from 3000 or something? Cause I've got waaay too much wheelspin. Damn torque!!

 

ya with the Tq of the H series, i'd launch on the track at around 4K, but dont dump the clutch.. ride the clutch and dont gas it all the way. feel the spin a little and as it starts to feel like it can grab is when you gas and let the clutch go. it will all happen in a millisecond so it takes practice. just dont lunch to high like 5K+ or too low like below 3K, it will bog if too low and the car will fall flat in its face.

Well I used to be a pro...but the 9 lbs flywheel is really making it hard to keep the revs constant and not spin! Arrrgh

 

Gotta slip the clutch until the tires grab. Then bring it to WOT.

 

Yeah what he said, and as soon as you can get some bfg g-force drag radials.

 

It's gonna be tough...CM stage 3 is like ON/OFF.....by that's my only choice...my wheels will spin even if I try to bring it to WOT to quickly!
