Default vibration on acceleration.

I have an integra gsr with a motor swap done by the previous owner. Its the b18a1 with dohc vtech. On acceleration it vibrates pretty violently but when accelerating softly like a granny its fine. any ideas what causes a vibration like this?

you said you have a gsr swapped with a b18a1. thats dohc vtec? ....i kno i dont know alot of **** about cars but i kno that the a1 isnt vtec....because i have one lol. so you prob have a lsvtec since you can see vtec obviously....and your reading the b18a1 from the block ?......anyway lol i think you have a bad wheel bearing or alignment, tie rods? alot of **** take it to a shop they'll tell u real quick

since the problem occurs when accelerating, as apposed to braking, i'd suspect the cv axles.. you can actually take them apart and usually see pitting in the roller bearings and/or spider

The block says that its a b18a1. Either way the ball joints tie rod ends and what are good those were the first things I checks.

I didn't know axles caused vibration on acceleration. Ill be checking for pits fractures fluting etc... thanks

yeah check your axles , if you accelerate and it vibrates most likely the axle <-- common with honda i work for honda and we get this problem here and there and everyone thinks its alignment or tires unbalanced
