Default Can a Cold Air Intake be too big?

I have a 1999 Canadian Civic Si. (American EX) I was just wondering if you can put too big of a cold air intake on the car which will actually decrease performance? I have a K&N Cold air intake from a BMW 3 Series in my garage and was wondering, if I put it on my Civic, would it perform well?

shouldnt make any difference, the throttle body and mass airflow meter will only allow so much in. You wont see noticable gains unless you get the car tuned for more air etc..
