Icon2 dx model eg non vtec. swapping in d16z6. How to wire vtec?

since my eg is the dx model it came with the d15b7 which is non vtec...im swapping in a d16z6 vtec motor but i dont know how to wire vtec. i have a p28 ecu already...what kind of wire would you use? i know theres like three wires you have to add

What year DX? If it's a '92 you only have to run the wires to the passenger's side shock tower plugs, otherwise it needs to be run right to the ECU.

As far as what to use for wire, I always use wire, pins and connectors from old cut up harnesses.

Put a tiny hole in the firewall and run 18-22 ga automotive wire.
