Pass axle wont go in all the way(searched)
Okay heres the deal, I swapped motors and trans out. Its now a b16 cable trans in my 92 integra. I used the same stock gsr axles. The passenger seems to be locked into place as i have to use a pry bar to pull it out. BUT theres still and small (1/8)inch gap between the axle and trans. Anyone have a clue whats going on here?
Please help! i have to leave in about 6 hours and this has to be done. Thanks in advance everyone!

that's the main drive axle
remove the c clip and fit it by hand. if it slides all the way in you're good and just need to wack it with a dead blow hammer when the c clip goes back on
if it won't go in without the c clip you need to find out what it's hitting

No it is not in all the way!! There is a rubber seal that keeps the tranny fluid from leaking out so it needs to be tight up against the tranny housing
I had the same problem with both of my axles after my swap. I made sure there was nothing on the splines or in the tranny that would prevent it from going in. I then crawled up under the car to try to makes sure it was as straight as possible going in and wiggled it around until it slid most of the way in. That last bit was a PITA but with enough force it finally went in. The c clip def makes the job a pain.

I took off the c clip and it slides in the same amount as it did with the c clip....i dont see anything in the way. im stumped. any wayi have the wong axle..because it all goes in and turns perfect on both ends. except that little bit that is left. I mean its such a tiny bit...is it really not in all the way?
they don't butt 100% up against the seal, normally a mm or so clearance which is how you pry bar them out in the 1st place. if you feel the c clip locate you're good. what matters is that it does. if the c clip doesn't expand and snap in place the axle can come out when driving. tears up the diff gears usually
