97+ prelude + jrsc runs what 1/4th times? (i did a search)
I have an opportunity to get a 99 prelude non-sh. its an automatic though. i used to drive a turbo civic (94 si hatchback) and im wondering if the prelude is going to satisfy my cravings stock or w/ a jrsc. turbo isnt really an option for this daily commuter.. i want good gas mileage and plus its an auto.
any comments?

The best I've seen for an auto 5th gen with JRSC is a 13.8@100. This was done on 18's. The best I've seen for a 5spd is a 13.6@103 on stock tires. Both of these times were members of PO.com, IM me if you don't know what PO.com is. With slicks the car is capable of mid 13's. It's great for a daily driver but don't expect a track beast out of it.

the prelude is more luxury then racing isnt it? hmm, jrsc or get the oem bodykit + 17" te37s and call it a day? one question, the times you gave.. was that on slicks? 6psi pulley right? i appreciate the info. thanks.
Those times were on street tires and at 6psi. I've seen dynos of 260hp and 220tq on the 9psi pulley but not times. I have also never seen a time run on slicks. The Prelude is a great car, but it is more of an every day driver than a race car. I would highly suggest you get a stick. The auto is good from a roll but off the line you will lose to a civic ex until 2nd gear.
As far as I know the car baselined at 222whp and 190tq. It was in the winter and he made a couple of runs. He was trapping at 103mph. I saw the timeslips posted. Typically I see JRSC Preludes run low 14's and high 13's with a trap around 100. But most of those runs were in the summer where the heat really seems to effect the JRSC.
