Default My street class car (figured I would share a little)

Some of you may or may not know me so I figured I would share my build a little bit with you guys. I am pretty pumped for the 2012 track season and plan on doing a whole lot more racing this year then I did last year. Last year on 16lbs the car went 11.82@124 with essentially no clutch, this was the first and only run on 16psi haha. This year I have upgraded to a Comp twin and scheduled to hit the dyno this coming sunday with hopes of 30-35psi. The original goal of this build was to hit 10.5x, I didn't and still don't care if this is a 10.59 lol. I just want 10.5's. Anything beyond that is just icing on the cake. I should be pretty competitive at the Columbus IFO events this year (2 of them) and hoping to make it to 1 maybe 2 more in the region depending on how things go. Anyways enough babbling lets get to some specs and pics, I know thats what you all care about anyways haha.

Sorry if this was a really long post haha. Oh btw the hood will either be repainted before first track day or will be replaced with a CF piece.

Good stuff man...Im at the last stages of 92% exactly the same setup (84.5mm GSR AEBS sleeved though) same cams, even down to the transmission internals (mines a B16 Quaife) good to see your having success with it in for the dyno results..

Haha you know I was going to get one, but after the cage went in I don't really feel comfortable putting my little guy back there. I would feel absolutely terrible if he was in the car and an accident occured and his head bounced off one of the bars

There might be a time or 2 when I am simply cruising around town that he will sit back there, but for the most part he'll be riding in the back of the wifes EP3. It sucks because he absolutely loves my car, I am talking we have to pry him off the steering wheel and he throws a fit when he has to leave my shop lol.

You can put padding on the back side of the cross bar

Yeah I know, I still don't think that will cushion the blow on a 2 year olds head very well though

Heck yeah man, I am hard to miss as I am 6'6 285 lol. Just stop over and say whats up, I am pretty approachable. I am hoping to see a good turnout at that event, I have organized a cruise there here locally and were up over 100 rsvp's so far.

Hahaha. Nice build, from what I have seen, with that trap speed you should be low 11 for sure, and bumping it up to 30-35 psi, I think your goal is within reach.

I need to show my wife this, as she thinks that my racing life is over when we procreate!

The car should go deep into the 10's. At 30-35psi with 6262 on a 84mm gsr will make around 700whp. My 84mm gsr made 620 whp on 26psi with a 6262. You will just have to make sure your boost by gear is setup properly so you can get the short track down.

Last year on my 11 second pass I had some factors working against me. I had a slipping clutch that wouldn't allow me to do a burnout to heat the slicks, my EBC **** out on me 2 days before the event so I was on a manual with no boost by gear lol. I agree with the trap speed its a low 11 second car. Heres the breakdown of that paticular pass

60: 1.844
330: 5.179
1/8: 7.791
MPH: 95.86
1000: 9.996
1/4: 11.826
MPH: 123.97

The best 60ft I got last year was a 1.7
