Default Window regulator questions

Does anybody know if manual window regulators from an ek hatch fit an ef hatch?

What about the rear regulators from a 4dr ef? Will that fit the front windows?

Reason I'm asking is because my front driver side window in my hatch will not roll down. I think it's stuck uptop or something. It use to roll down, but then I rolled it up one day, and know it won't come down.

front EF 4dr regulators ftw EF hb and CRX (can go pwr also if you wish) Be sure to use your original springs (due to CRX/HB glass heavier than EF 4dr's)

wow seriously....
Ok well the simple answer to all said questions is no. No to all of the above.
Civic ef sedan and hb regulators are different too. Even further, 88-89 hb regulators are different from 90-91 regulators if I recall right. You need the same year and model for your car. No mods will work it simply won't work but then again what do I know I'm not a doctor.

No,you're NOT a doctor, lol.Have you personally tried installing EF 4dr regs?
(never tried EK though-so dunno there) I installed EF 4dr regs into
muh 91 rex and they DO work! (using orig reg. springs + " bottom glass bar" of course)

The EF 4dr's power harnesses between teh doors fit perfectly into CRX n HB doors, only have to wire it all up... (IF wanting power, otherwise grab an EF 4dr dx's FRONT non pwr regulator to simply replace ur non pwr HB's) Or listen to folk that obviously haven't tried,up to you.

OK smart guy, I did try. I was the Inventory Manager/Interchange Writer for the largest Honda/Acura Importer in the NW. I found that the RHD EF9 and EF8 regulators will only fit 88-89 non-seat belt doors. Sedan doors are much shorter along with the windows. I had trouble writing an interchange on the database parts locator for the JDM ones.

Ummm,ok guess I better remove the EF 4 DR regs that I have installed in muh rex then? (since you state that they won't work due to all of your "real world" experience writing interchanges then,ha!) And the year models door differences are a GIVEN! Duhr, common sense will tell folk to get correct year for their model! (plus mentioned ALL over the net)

If you could read, you would've seen where I wrote that you have to use the LONGER glass bars from original regs. (PC that attatches to glass, and IF I have to explain how to do that-then damn!) Also swap the regulator springs DUE TO TEH HEAVIER GLASS!!! (roll all teh way,and they fall off due to no tension)

So sick of uninformed "know it alls" (on this site, and others-imagine that),spreading "their" expertise when actually they don't know anything other than what their reading comprehension allows, instead of actual expeience... There,I taught ya somwething,Pfft!
