18s on a civic
I went out the other day and bought some 18 inch enkeis for 250 with tires, which I think is a pretty good deal, Now I have the dilemma of wondering how low if any I should drop the car without having major rub issues. If anyone has any helpful suggestions please let me know.
They all have those size tires on it but does anyone know how low can I go without any issues with rubbing If need be I will probably trade them for some SI's or something but I really like these tires and do not want to be seen as everyone else with their little wheels and extreme drop. Even though it looks good I just do not want to be another one of those hondas if i can avoid it
You should be able to get a decent drop with those wheels, but with the 30 offset you will run into clearance issues with the fenders/quarter panels if you don't run some negative camber or do something to the metal to increase clearance.
PS. There's always been a ton of people with large wheels on lowered cars, bud. Not trying to burst your bubble, but there definitely are plenty out there.

You could always trade. I traded a friend steelies for 18's because he had bad rubbing issues. I took the 18's and traded them for a set of Civic HX wheels.
Actually it doesnt look bad but i cant drop the car...;o( plus i dont have any rub issues unless i have ppl in the car but we will see ill put em up on craigslist just to see what i can get
