Default Painting Fog lights

I've got clear OEM Stanley fog lights on my 96 Accord and really want some yellow ones. I was thinking of painting the glass yellow so that way I don't spend $200 for something that I already have. Would painting the glass affect the transparency? I can live with the clear fogs, but it was just something I was pondering about.

I wouldn't recommend using paint unless you want to block out the light completely and just have nice shiny yellow lenses to look at.

Yellow tinting, however, may be a viable option for you to try! It's a film rather than a spray.

Yellow spray tint, you can probably find it at any of the big auto parts stores in your area, napa, autozone. tape em off and spray a couple coats and you'll be good. their meant to be able to not affect the transparency so they should turn out good.

Go to an arts and crafts store and look for the stained glass spray paint. I believe it works kind of like the vht nightshade tail light tint. You can spray the outside or you can bake it apart and spray the inside reflective part kind of like blackhousing it.

I wouldn't do any of that due to the heat those fog lights generate.

I'd suggest doing Lamin-X if anything. I did that on my '96 fogs without any issues.

Did the weather/climate have any affect on it? How durable is the film?

You should probably Google Lamin-X if you haven't heard of it before. The whole purpose of the film is automotive lense protection.

I just did. I just thought I would ask someone who actually used it, rather than reading the reviews on their own website.
