LS faster.
I just signed up with this Forum...
But any who, I have a 1994 Acura integra LS. Unfortunately it has no Vtec engine... but instead of spending a whole lot of money on an engine swap, how can I run my vehicle with greater performance by staying with LS? Should I add a turbo?

Why do people ask these questions? No offense to you. I just don't see why asking is needed. Anyone can make any car with any motor fast. You just need the knowledge and the money to make it happen.
Thanks man, i'll keep the b16 trans in mind.
Well, the reason why I asked this question is because I don't have the knowledge to answer it. That's basically why I joined the forum is so I can get the answers to all my questions... and trust me, I do my research.
I got the money taken care of.

chill... he's new, and asking what's a decent upgrade for a certain budget.
It's cool...
Yeah, I have the money for it... it's just that the labor and all that stuff. I'm not that patient, Lol.
I'm trying to upgrade my performance a little. Honestly, I'm keeping most of my things OEM, I just want the car to become a little faster, hehe.

some people I tell's ya...I guess those who criticize started off day one as an instant guru needing no tech help or advice, but are simply here to grace us with there knowledge. chill people this is what an informative forum is for?
Ok just fyi...he never stated any type of budget in the op. There are tons of threads that discuss what to do when just starting out. You said you searched, but I really don't think you read in depth what the threads it pulled up said. You also said that you're not patient. Making a car faster, and working on them in general takes patients. If you're not willing to put in the time, effort, headaches, blood, sweat and everything else it takes then it's probably best not to mess with it. Yes simple bolt ons are easy, but it's not going to make any noticeable difference in power. People normally do the intake, header, exhaust things first cause they're generally the cheapest and easiest to do. Since you said money is covered, then go ahead and do the i/h/e and think about getting the ecu chipped and tuned. Adding power helps yes, but until the car is properly tuned you'll never get the most power out of it.
Like stated above you can do simple bolt-ons, if that still isn't enough for you you can do high-comp pistons, valve train, and larger ls cams (like jun, skunk 2, ect.) since you don't have the know how, or from what I understand you have minimal wrenching knowledge, start off with bolt ons. Then if you aren't satisfied, seek out a local honda specific shops and talk with them about options. Luckily for me, I have a ton of friends to give me the knowledge I needed to start work on my car. All the knowledge is out there. Be PATIENT and you WILL be rewarded.
A transmission will definatly "pep" it up, I installed a GS-R transmission on my 94 RS, I also installed an Phantom Grip LSD, [although will be changing it to a Quaife or Type R if I can find one].
As mentioned, bolt ons are easy but not a lot of power, there is a fair amount of power avalable in the head, [P&P, valve train (cams/springs/cam gears) intake and exhaust manifolds and T/B] short ram or CAI, full exhaust.
If your looking for performace, upgrade the suspention and tires.
Last but not least, weight reduction, any weight you can drop off the car is a good thing.
Boosting, turbo or super charger, is not cheap, but will get you the biggest gains.
I am not sure why NO2 is looked down on, I run a 75shot Zex system, I allows me to spank most Mustang 5L and Vetts on the autocross circuits, along with just about everything else. 94

Well when you have a thousand threads asking the same damn thing, it gets a little old. I remember a little saying... It is a fool who speaks showing everyone what a fool he is, but a wise man who watches and learns. Something like that
Dude. if you want to make you LS faster i suggest you look into nitrous and a tune with some minor bolt ons. My cousin is runnin a LS 4 door with Intake mani(obx) cold air intake headers and exhaust and a 100 shot of juice with a tune and i swear camaros struggle to keep up. and in my personal experience im runnin the b20 in my 4door with a stage 2 clutch full exhaust and intake on a 75 shot killin em out here..not to say im the fastest out there but for what it is i think i do alright.. wouldnt trade my juice for anything **** what everyone has to say bout nitrous.. its definetly the best bang for you buck.BUT GET TUNED!!
I heard pooping in the gas tank helps a lot with power.
The fecal matter blends in with the gasoline molecules and helps with atomization and combustion process....

i heard this too and if you ferment the poo beforehand you get a higher octane.
+rep
on the real side of the world now.... i would get a 4.7 final drive for your trans for find a b16 like mentioned above.
find a vtec head so you can make it a ls vtec, get a tune.
so 4.7 final drive or b16 trans lsd is huge plus
vtec head
chiped ecu/tuned ecu
then some good tires and you will have a fun ride
nitrous is amazing too. see if you have any local fill places. welding stores sell nos too
^^ Ahh that's right! You must ferment it first! I'm forgetful. Fermented fecies = C16
On a serious note, do some more research, you don't seem to be ready for this type of stuff.
But if you are looking for a just a little more power, GSR trans, intake, header, and exhaust.
