I just put a new head gasket and everything head checked and the motor is a d16y8 turbo and its blowing white smoke? can anyone tell me or give me a idea on why its doing this? is my turbo blown???

 

White smoke is usually coolant. Did you do a compression test after finishing the head gasket job? Did you make sure to clean all residual coolant out of the cylinders before putting the head back on? Did you torque to spec, then retorque after 50 miles? Did you replace the head studs?

 

Ya i did all of that its got brand new arp head studs and the cylinders were completly cleaned out and torqued all the studs to spec but theres oil comeing out the exhaust side of the turbo im guessing its not suposed to do that?

 

Definitely not supposed to do that.... was the turbo installed correctly? tuned?

 

Do you have shaft play in the turbo? Sounds like you need new seals in the turbo.

And 96 ls TEG the turbo was instaled and tunned by Speedfactory in Tacoma washington.

 

Blown oil seals in the turbo.

 

Hope you didn't screwed on a used turbo.
