the worst part of this mod is the 4th gen sunroof motor assembly isnt really strong enough for the extra "weights" lol. It tends to struggle just a bit when you open it up but its not really a big problem. I have had mine for 4 years and the extra "weights" do not matter to me.

i love mine... it just sits a little high. anybody got solutions to fix this problem? i can't remember which brackets i used, i think it was the originals since it sat lower on them than the 5th gens.

I used the 5th gen brackets as supplied by jnv255. I had to use longer 10mm bolts for the assembly so I could place washers in between the assembly and the actual roof of the car. mine sits hella flush yo!!

so you lowered the whole sunroof/motor/rails assembly from the roof with washers? i've got the little metal spacers to go between the glass and the brackets, but they obviously won't help me... got any pics?

Those spacers are actually adjusters. You can actually just add more, or remove some to adjust the height of the roof. When I painted my car the body man helping me showed me how to get the sunroof just right when we reinstalled. It came down to those little washers.
