i currently have three motors for my 91 civic dx hatch. ok first off the car has been wired for OBD1. now the motor i have in the car is a d15b7 that was swapped in from a d15z1. i have a b18a1 with a cable trans as well as the all the stuff to do a b-series swap. now with that being said the b18a1 that i have is toast. the cylinder walls and pistons are junk. ok on to the other engine that i picked up today. the guy said he had a motor out of a 89 integra so i figured why not for $300.he said it was running when he pulled it out of the integra but the kicker is its a d16a1. so if anybody has any ideas on what i might be able to frankenstien out of what iv got on a low budget please llet me know.

 

the d16a1 is a stand alone misfit motor. 90% of the parts for it are discontinued. the crank snout is 22mm all other dseries iirc are 24mm there is no aftermarket intake mani or any bolt on for it also you cannot put a b18 head on the d16a1. If that isnt enough it will also require custom mounts to fit the EF chassis get a peice of glass cut and make a coffee table out of it, thats all its good for. rebuild your b18a
