K so i got a chipped p06 for my a6y8 mininme in a 1990 ef hatch
Do i need to get p06 tuned or can i drive it yhe way it is
The person i got it from said its on a universal basemap? Wtf is that
Someone help me out plz oh and can i use a6 water pump?

dont think there is such thing as a universal map you can have phearables (however you spell it) send you a chip with a map for your motor for cheap and im not sure bout the water pump

 

It's already chiped tho I wanna kno if i can drive it untuned or do I NEED to tune

it depends on what it was tuned for, i did a minime n used a pr4, i also changed it to obd1, but a obd0 pr4 should work, unless you know what the tune is i wouldnt use it

 

did you plug it in and see if it even starts up?
maybe see if idles.

Either that or get a new chip that has the stock Z6 map on it.
