Philips HID owners, does this look right?
The cable that connects to the ballast. I tried it like below and also flipped it but didn't work. Does this look right to you guys?
The red line is how far it will go in. Is the white thingy supposed to go all the way in to the blue line?
I tried flipping it upside down, but it still stops at the redline. what gives?

That was the hardest part of my hid install. That plug thingy. It turned out that I had mine backwards. It requires quite a bit of force to get in on. I don't think it should go past the red line though. The direction looks correct. Your plug is a little different looking but in this pic my red wire is towards the back of the ballast like yours.
Yeah, WTF, my plug definitely looks differrent from yours....
And I do not hear a snap sound when I push it in all the way to the red line. It does not go in further too.
Here's a pic of my plug.

mine look just like yours..but the place i ordered the Phillips HID kit came with a pair of "connector" plugs:
1 end connects to the ballast all the way in
the other end has 2 prongs that you shove into the stock low beam (positive/negative)
i dont think yours came with those but that's ok. what i did with my friends was sorta "cut" the plastic on the stock low beam plug so that it will clear the middle metal piece on the ballast plug.
good luck!

hmmmmmm......I guess I'll have to cut out a little piece then. Weird, nobody else seems to have this problem with their HID's though.
One question, does the white plug go in like that? With the big boxy thing facing outwards?

sup man.. whoa you got HID's? take some pix when u get them working!!! im sure it looks tite..
I'll definitely have some pics if I get it working tho.
Good god...it shouldn't be like that. You shouldn't be plugging your stock harness directly into the ballast. There should be a wire adapter that connects to your stock harness, and then connects to your ballast with a tight, snug fit. I think you're missing a piece.
What does the adapter do?
I looked at the manual, and there's no word about an adapter going between the ballast and the stock plug. Nor do they provide you with an adapter.
I dremeled a slot on my stock plugs and they fit in all the way to the blue line. Now my HID works.

Site is currently down. It's very easy to make your own adapter if that harness didn't come with the package. If it doesn't light up then reverse the wires because proper polarity matters.

No wait! I just checked the manual again, and there IS an adapter wire going inbetween the ballast and the stock plug. I never got this part.
But why bother? I think all the adapter is doing is acting as an extension and also so that it will fit the ballast perfectly.
I dremeled a slot on my stock plug and it fit all the way in to the blue line and now they work. Unless the adapter has another purpose, I don't think I'll need it.

Get in touch with Trevor. When I 1st purchased my HID kit, it didn't come with these harnesses. He overnighted me the wires I needed from Canada for $40. He is a great person to work with.
I IM'd Trevor..no response so far.
One more question, since I don't have the adapter extension, I could not place the ballast where normally people would. I was forced to ziptie one ballast to the power steering reservoir bottle. Is this bad?

are both High and Low beams HID lights?
or just the low beams?
or just the low beams?
