Well I have been trying to find a comparison,Just trying to see the differences between the four years of production.I was wondering what really seperates the two.Other than the suspension setup of the older models.I know the dash and other little things are different.

Thanks for being a dick but I searched and most of searches didnt outline complete detail,Just gave you bits and pieces.I looked through faqs page also.Guess I over looked it no need to be a *******.If its been covered and you didnt wanna answer GTFO out my thread.Easy as that I dont need you in here saying smart *** remarks just to watch your post count go up.If I posted the thread,obviously I was having issues finding the info.Even though still dont have complete rundown.I have alot more info than I turned up with google searchest.Just by coming to a section based on the topic I was looking for....

Thanks yeah for most part.This is what I was looking for I just got rid of my 1990 hatch,And going to pick up a 88 sedan was just trying to see the differences.Because I have never worked on the 88/89s.

I know this is an old thread, but I just wanted to point out the irony that when I searched for OP's same question, it brings up HT and similar threads. IT'S A CONSPIRACY!

 

The weight is a huge one IMO.

It's hard to believe there's 300# weight difference between 88-91, but it's true.

I have an 88 std and a 91 si, and I keep finding more differences all the time.

One huge one IMO is whether the car was built in Japan or Canada.
