1. get a defouler
2. put the stock one back in when smog time comes around or find a shady shop to pass you

Default Re: 06 civic si Dc header CEL and bad noise?

Ok so after i installed the DC header i didnt notice for a while that there is a hissing or idk what to call it but there is a noise coming from the flex pipe/right by where it connects to the exhaust and its a little loud. could it be the flex pipe?and if it is the flex pipe would i be able to replace it? or could it be the 2.5 header going to a 2.0 piping? or? It has a really nice deep tone its just that noise that idk if its normal.. thanks guys

Since it's a race header, you can hear the gases passing through the area that used to be the cat. It's normal, but just in case, double check under the car to make sure you don't have any leaks.

Are you going to run aftermarket or filled motor mounts?

Get flashpro and turn off the 2nd O2 sensor. You removed your cat and wonder if it will still pass emissions.....your seriously joking right?
