Default Torque Wrench

I'm in the market for a torque wrench. Do you guys have any recommendations on which model/brand to buy? I've seen Snap On torque wrenches for $400.. Just a little too much money for what I'm looking to spend(around $100 or less)

What makes one cost $400 over one that is say $100?

Are they **** to breaking/malfunctioning over time?

I don't know much about torque wrenches but Harbor Freight owns me with a 12.99 wrench. I couldn't pass it up. It does the job and it might not be the most acurate thing but its close.

Craftsman are descent, and I think you get free calibration with them(too lazy to send them in ). Most torque wrenches use springs. Depending on the quality it should be calibrated after somewhere between 500-5000 uses.

The snap-on's are springless so they should always be accurate, and I think they have a lifetime warranty. The craftsman only have a 1 year warranty, but I got 3 for the price of one snapon.

So it stays accurate.

I got a $19.99 beam torque wrench for things like my valve cover, etc. I love it. Going to get the Craftsman digotorque next.

Because of the springs.
