Default 1996 Honda Civic LX With ZC engine (ordering parts)

I'm working on a 96 civic LX automatic. I need to order a complete gasket kit for it and was wondering if the ZC engine is the same as D16 vtec.

Thanks

Which ZC? There are about 8 different versions all stamped simply ZC, ranging from dual carbed DOHC to fuel injected SOHC vtec. Ideally snap a few good pics and post them here.

If you're ordering the gasket kit, why not just order the correct kit for the motor?

OBD2 non-vtec ZC with D16Y7 intake and exhaust manifolds, order parts for a D16Y7 ('98 LX)

So its a JDM non vtec ZC? crazy because my customer bought it this way. But your saying the gasket kit for a D16Y7 will work properly?

Correct. Also, you might want to cover that block stamp up with some grease/dirt. Last I hear ZCs wouldn't pass smog because of the block stamp, it doesn't correspond to anything the way B16A corresponds to B16A2 etc. But if the block stamp isn't showing I doubt they'd check since it looks exactly like what's supposed to be there

Yes. The bare engine sans the intake and exhaust manifold is basically the same as a Y7.
