I have an Integra 2dr. what do you guys have that bumps really good.
2 ( insert fav here) each powered by a pure 800-1000 watt ( insert amp fav) here......that should do it......
Gezz..I get the same question at work every day...You gotta be more specific ( I know many of you are clueless..thats why you ask)..state year model make( many times its not obvious) what type of equip you have now..ie stock deck or upgraded a/m ( aftermarket) (insert fave brand here)..etc. This makes it a lot easier. Not trying to rant on you...the meds (flu) and the misses have me of track
okay what you could do......get a 4 or 5 channel amp ( kicker,mtx,rockford,alpine,kenwood,jl...etc) and 3 10" subs ( insert fave..based on what ohm load sub channel is designed to handle....give up spare tire well...use either a prefab subenclosure(JL,MTX,Q-logic) or a custom ( $$)
a deck with 2 or 3 rca outputs...great pair of 6.5" components or integrated coax up front,decent 2 way for rear,misc wiring,kits,materials,etc...amplify front and rear and sub( 5 channel) or front and sub(4 channel)..radio runs rear for fill...this should impress the avg person ( yes it will go loud and bump quite nicely....i am an expert on this)....total cost about $3500 give or take( depending on what gear deals one can come up with and what level you want to play at)
have fun....going back to bed

one 15" kicker sub (1000 watts rms) 300 bucks
one kicker class D amp 1200 watts rms at 2 ohms (i think) 596 bucks
custom box (approx) 100 bucks
shaking rear view mirror of car in front of you at a stoplight: priceless
( all prices are taken from http://www.woofersetc.com )
i'm not a hardcore kicker fan...but everyone i have talked to has said many
good things about kicker..esp their subs and ability to move air..and also
that their amps are of good quality. the reason why i suggest kicker is because
it's a lil more on the affordable side but still great quality.
i only suggest one sub because that's all you need in your integ! integs don't
have that much room in the first place..and my friend with a '95 civic hatch
was running one 15'' crossfire db sub w/ some amp at 400 watts and it was
almost too much bass. the kind that was on the verge of hurting your ears..
and you were tempted to cover your ears...but just not at that point yet.
that kinda bass.
i also suggest a small, sealed box for clean, tight,
accurate bass. just my opinion/suggestion

3rd gen integra
mb quarts 6.5" components up front
stock rear fill speakers (hardly ever used)
Alpine cd head unit
1 tube driver amp for the Quarts
1 MMATS D300HC for an Alumapro 10" bandpass enclosure
the amp is ONLY pushing out 300 watts and I doubt it's even working that much power to the sub because I have the gains way down, I'm on my 3rd sub, I blew 2 already, one JBL Gti 15" (1000 watts my ***) & one Diamond Audio Mac Daddy (I loved that sub)
I like the alumapro very much, it shakes the car with very little effort and it turned out to be a good $200 investment
I need to do a 1 farad cap for the low transients (deep heavy bass hits) other than that it gets the job done with that puny alternator that Honda blessed us with.

if you look at the stuff he's selling (in his sig) he has a 3rd Gen teg prolly a 97 since he has the 97 tail lights and wheels and wants a 98-01 front end prolly for a conversion... anyways..
whats your budget? what kind of music do you listen to.. do you want boomy bass? or tight/clean bass? is trunk space a consideration? do you have any equip (head unit, speakers, amps, etc) now? or is your whole setup still stock?
my setup hits pretty hard IMO and in the opinion of my friends..some of them have systems too and they think mine hits hard.. I got it a while ago so I'm not sure whats out on the market now as I haven't been looking..so im not really up to date w/ current model numbers n such... 95 GSR I've got
///Alpine CDA-7969
///Alpine ERA-G320
Infinity Kappa Component system and Kappa rears powered by
///Alpine MRV-F407S amp
JL Audio 12W6's powered by PPI PC21400 amp
///Alpine 12 disc CHA-1214 changer
I have no trunk space I use the rear seats or if I don't have a passenger.. the passenger seat or foot area as my trunk but oh well it hits and sounds good to me...

If you want some real bass you could do my last setup. 2 Digital Design 9012 in a 7 cubic box, 3.5 each chamber vented with a 170sq in of port with subs and port firing off the hatch powered by a usa 400 or a earthquake phd2 amp. In one compeition I ended up blowing a diode on my amp so had to use a friends pos 360@2 amp and did a 145 off the dash. Then again this does weigh your car down!
how bout 2 JL 12 or 2 12 solobarics powered by JL amp. i have a kenwood cd player its the 4019 or something like that its not that great but i do i have upgraded pioneer speakers in the car.
sorry i didn't mention it but i have a 97 integra. thanx.

I have a question for all you guys with the 1000 watt amps
what do you have supplying the juice to the amps
I mean are you using aftermarket alternators and spiral cell batteries?
lemme know
reason I ask is the alternators in Hondas have always been weak

i'm just using my stock alternator and 4 guage cables. hasn't caused a problem yet. i just never play it when the car isn't running. i have gone through one battery tho, now i'm using an interstate battery w/more CCA's than the stock battery. i wanted to get an optima but it wouldn't fit in the battery spot on my teg.
Oh yea, i also have a 1 farad Lightning Audio digital top capacitor. it helps some.
