Rear Shoes....*I hate them, and have questions*
I run ceramic pads up front/brembo blanks and I dont honestly remember what shoes are in the rear, but they are at least middle level grade from advance auto. Now my front are perfect, never make a sound...the rears are in constant issues with me...
So the rear drums are 6 months old...top of the line from advance auto *funny to say the words "top of the line" and advance in the same sentence...best of what they sell..is what I mean.
Regardless--so every 6 months the drums warp, and start making a clunking sound *and they carry a 1 year warranty* so I go get myself a new pair, and eh it is what it is. Now my shoes are making a sound, slight grinding and slight whistle, so I got to tear em apart and clean them out and while Im at it, probably just change them over to ceramics so they stay quiet.
My question is, the best I can find for shoes are ceramic thermoquiet, anyone know of any thing better? I can't really find any "good" drums or shoes. Ceramics or honda shoes.
Or is my only choice to rear disc convert this? I shouldve just rear disc converted 5 years ago....I can't stand drums/shoes with a passion, however they were on there for 10 years and never made a sound and never gave me an issue. Once I changed em from stock though, problem problem problems...

TBH this is the first time I have read someone warping drums. Maybe you want to go the OE route? Maybe not get shoes from AZ either. But I guess you need to find out what is causing the warpage. Are you just swapping out shoes and drums or are you doing the entire overhaul?
I did the whole route (then the drums warped) so I just changed them...and then it happened a 2nd time so I just changed the drums, as the shoes were brand new all 3 times basically.
Yea, I think OEM is the only way really.
