That's what I thought it should be like any other k swap.

Here's what I have so for the swap,

complete K20z1 starter , fuel rail etc.
Axles
drive shaft axle
engine harness
tranny

I know I will need kpro and conversion harness

I contacted hondata trying to get info about kpro told them the type civic the motor is going into there saying with my car and the k20z1 engine harness will not work there saying I would have to get a 02 to 04 engine harness because the 05 to 06 harness that came with my motor will not work.

Also they said I would have to change the tranny to 02 to 04 because the speed sensor on the 05 tranny from my motor will not work with.

I wanna know if this is true or not I have going thru multiple threads haven't not seen this motor swap done with my car this is why I'm asking.

You honestly believe a representative from Hondata would straight up lie to you?

There are plenty of threads covering this on many of the forums.

I am putting a k20z1 motor and trans into my ek.

They suggest using a 02-04 engine harness for the easy with kpro
you can use and 05-06 engine harness but it will complicate things

You can use the 05 trans no problem you will need to wire a speed converter so that your cluster will work.
