96 Type R Rotors and Calipers...
I have a '99 GSR and a brake job is due very soon. When I purchased the car I was told the front was equipped with '96 R rotors and calipers. I checked this out and found that the rotors were drilled to fit the 4x100 bolt pattern. The stopping power is great and I love the fact that I have a larger rotor, pad and caliper up front.
My question is... What pads do I track down for replacement?
It's a daily driven car and I like using factory pads; having no problems with them in the past. Also, a Honda-saavy parts guy at an Acura dealership mentioned that AP1 S2000 pads would work.
Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

Buy OEM ITR pads, i don't see why not? Accord, 5g prelude, or any car that shares the same size brakes will have pads that fit. If you need a rotor, get a mini-cooper rotor, already 4x100 and same size.
What year & model Mini Cooper?
96 type r calipers and rotors are the same size as any rs, ls, gs, or gsr calipers and rotors. only difference is the rotors would be 4x114 bolt pattern. so either what you have on there are not from a 96 itr, or the info you've received is incorrect
So what would be the reasoning behind someone going out of their way to have 4x114's drilled out to fit 4x100? If they are not 96 ITR, what other Honda models utilized the 4x114? I just want to have all my ducks in a row before I perform my brake service.
