Default PM7 Stamped All Over ZC What ECU To Use

If the ZC block has PM7 stamped all over it and on the cam gears and everything can you still use a PM6 Si ECU? Could this be causing my code 4 or do I just need to break down and buy a distributor?

how did you wire the dist? Code 4 is for the CYL/crank sensor. Might just be a wiring criss-cross.
You can use either ECU, mines run off of both, but the Teg one feels better. It has more revs to it for the occasional race.

i have the pm6 which is the crx si ecu....failed emissions with it so i'm not sure how much of a difference it makes to have the right ecu.

You can use a PM6 (88-91 Si ecu)

You can use a 88-89 PG7 (88-89 teg ecu )

And if you can get one imported from Japan a PM7 ecu

re-check your distributor wiring for the code problem.
