hey i have a 1990 accord lx that idles crazy (up and down) im not sure what it is, ive been told it could be the tps, but know one knows for sure. also speedometer is not working and would like to kno how to fix that issue and if that might be connected to the idle issue.

any help would be greatly appreciated

Fast Idle Valve-open it (2 phillips screws) and turn it all the way down with a flathead. Idle Air Control- remove from intake manifold (2 or 3 12mm bolts) clean it, replace it or block it off. As far as the speedometer, change your Vehicle Speed Sensor that sits on top of the transmission in the area under your thermostat housing.

 

jus did Idle Air Control and still nuttin workin on the Fast Idle Valve in a little bit thanx alot though hope it works

 

If that doesn't work, check for vacuum leaks.

 

so i jus cleaned it all out with high hopes but no change, and so far unable to find leaks, could it be the TPS?

 

Air boost valve on the drivers end of the tb.

Double check the pcv.
