update: from what the guy told me it is an old school style quaife not the newer models like the one on the quaife site. So it has been resolved.

The one you got looks like a phantom grip, but don't quote me on that.

 

If im not mistaken the phantom slip is just a rectangualr piece of metal that converts the stock diff into a so called lsd

 

doesn't look like any quaife I've ever seen, and I sell them.

 

quaife should have a 'quaife' stamping on there somewhere...

 

It's not a quaife lsd. quaife has a closed housing and it should have it stamped on there.

 

could be from 90 to 91 Y1 tranny honda had quaife make some trannyies with lsd the Y1 which i have its possible that could be out of one. ask they guy what its out of and how old it is. hope this might help

 

like stated before it doesn't look like any Quaife LSD i've seen before.

Doesnt look lke a Quaife to me. I have one, and it didnt look like that. Look for a stamp of some sort or somthing to tell you what it is.

 

It has no stamp whatsoever on it and the guy said it had only 5,000 miles on it so it couldn't be out of an early 90's tranny, if it is for some reason then the guy lied when he posted it about fitting into a b18, he also said it fits a b16 which it won't if it in fact does fit a b18. looks like azz beating time
