possible overcharged it? did you use a gauge when you were injecting the R134a refrigerant into the low-port of the system?

Did you check the pressures on both the high and low side when filling? Using the low side pressure alone can give misleading information and also fail to spot certain other problems.

Overfilling the system will damage it and not make things any colder (which is a very common mistake). Never put freon with leak sealer into your system as it can seriously damage the Honda compressor.

My '06 Pilot was leaking too and it took about 2 twelve ounce cans of freon to bring both pressures back up to spec.

At this time I believe that my own leak was being caused by a faulty fill valve core - I bought the special glasses and UV flashlight and I saw that the valve core was literally bubbling away after I was done.

Leaky valves are VERY common - it is basically the same valve (a Schrader) that you find on road bicycles. I believe that the same cores can even be used although a proper replacement is only about $4.

My temporary fix was to grab my valve center post with a pair of long-nosed pliers and pull on it gently - this seemed to immediately stop the leak.

Several days later I still have cold air.

My longer term fix is currently somewhere in shipping - I have ordered the Robinair 18560 Valve Core Remover/lnstaller which allows valve core replacement without losing the freon charge.

Hope this information helps.

BTW, it must be very tempting for less scrupulous dealers to say that something more expensive (eg. the condenser) is leaking and btw, we always replace the valve cores too
