I saw these drag wheels on the STR race car and a few other vehicles this past weekend. Does anyone know where to find a 13in version of these wheels? If so what is the weight and specs on it? The weld racing website doesnt even list the wheels, and all other websites that sell their products only cater to domestics.

Sorry i dont have a pic, but they are a polished outerlip with bronze inner piece.

if I remember correctly, weld is way overpriced compared to bogart

 

they run about $300 or so a rim for the 13x8

compared to Bogarts which are about $240 or so.

weld skinnies are $270 each and bogarts are $160 each.

I think those are there infamous drag lights. Weld's headquaters is only a few blocks away from where I work, I should drop by and see what they are up to.

 

the weight diff i believe is that the welds are about 1lb heavier. its not that much diff.

 

Another source for those Weld wheels or any Weld wheel is a place called Wheel Warehouse in Kansas City. They are closely tied together. Speak with my room mate Chris there at 816-421-0880 on any Weld wheel and he will get you all the info you need. Between him, myself, and some another friend, we have 3 sets just stacked up in our shop. It's beautiful.

I believe right now he has a set of those in stock that are 13 x 8. Not sure what bolt pattern. Supposedly they are the only set available in the US right now according to Greg Weld (Owner/President).

 

The Welds may be a pound heavier, but are alot more durable than the Bogarts. I'm sure if someone measured and compared the strengths and load tolerances, Weld would come out ahead. I have seen Bogarts bent on the tire machine.[

theyve been out for awhile. a few shops in so cal have them in stock. but they probably sold as they come in.
theyre dope wheels. getting the rears on a spindle mount for my race car...

no details on the motor can be released yet... but it hasnt been done before.
