stage 4 clucth vib and i think starter prob..help
i just built a turbo ready low compreesion SOHC zc block in my 1990 CRX si, i put a xtd stage 4 clucth and flywheel combo also.
driving the car,it shift perfect everytime.
when i put the clucth in to change gears over about 2500 rpm in any gear ,you hear a grinding or vib coming from where the starter is, today the fuse for the starter blowed when i shifted gears.
i parked the car this morning thinking the starter is staying engaged some how,im going to buy a new starter today but was wondering i thought a bad starter is only when the car wont start?? my car starts everytime on the frist try.
has anyone ever have had this prob before or any advice before i buy a new starter??

because the fuse blew when i shifted gears...i was thinking that some how the starter is staying engaged or engaging when i shift (if that is possible)... i have tryed looking or searching the treads for anything similar with no luck.
You need to make sure your clutch cable is adjusted properly. I wouldn't dig too deep into popping the fuse. Look for an open to ground in the starter's power wire. If there is one, fix it. If not, no worries. It's an old *** car. I've blown fuses while cruising over railroad tracks lol.
If you know your cable is adjusted correctly, you have an internal transmission problem and it needs to be rebuilt.

o.k. i tested the starter...works fine.... i think i did a big no-no when i put the clucth and flywheel in, the little round bearing that came with the kit..i did not put it in becase i did not know where it went..
i put the new clucth bearing that pushes the clucth
then i put the flywheel on the crank with ARP BOLTS
then i put the clucth and disk...
where does the little round bearing go??
yes im a noob
