Default d16y8 help

bought a d16y8 block to swap on my y8 head and i noticed 1st cylinders piston said P28 second p2e third p2e and 4th p2e . it says d16y8 on the block but i thought thought y8's had p2p's ? i tried to fit a p2p piston inside and the bottom rod journal was loose ????? should i just get all 4 new p2e's or whaa

yes you should have p2p pistons. id get all new pistons. what do you mean you put the piston in and the rod journal was loose?

juat curious why those pistons were in there and would they work ? also the p2p bottom part of rod is loose even when i torque em not with torque wrench , they wiggle left to right a lilv and p2es fit snug . my old y8 had p2p's why does this y8 have p28,p2e p2e p2e

Sounds like somebody threw spare parts lying around into the block Don't ask US why they are in there. Do you think they should work if they have play in them like you describe? Try it out and let us know. I would get all matching parts.
