Hey I just got my new issue of the November edition of Motor Trend. In the news section there is a article that caught my eye and interest:
Honda as Quick as Acura?
Acura say it doesn't need to up the max horsepower on its RSX Type-S to make room for a hotter Honda Civic Si. The Si isn't a sales success in part because its 160-hp 2.0L i-VTEC falls short of the horsepower put out by such competitors as the Ford SVT Focus and Volkswagen Golf GTI 1.8T. Acura says it would be acceptable for Honda to sell a 200-hp Civic SiR even as its dealers sell the more expensive RSX Type-S with the same engine.
If this is true, I guess Honda might redeem itself with enthusists after they half-heartly gave us a underpowered Si in the first place. Your thoughts?
