Icon2 Problem with 1998 Honda Accord EX-L, Please HELP…

Hello, I am new to this forum and I hope I can find the answer to solve the problem with my Honda Accord.

Today I drove the car around 60 miles with no problems and suddenly it stopped accelerating. I check the speedometer and noticed that RPM gauge was at 0 RPM. So I switched the transmission into neutral and let it roll till it stopped.

After the car stopped, I put it into park and attempted to start it. The engine turned over but it would not start, so I attempted to start it again and the engine turned but it would not start. Due to this issue I called AAA to get the tow truck and have my Honda towed home.

After I place the roadside service request, I attempted to start the engine and it did start, so I drove it for few miles until the engine stopped running again. As I drove I canceled the roadside service request. At this point I did not know the cause of the problem, so I attempted to start the car again, but it would not start.

After checking everything I had no other choice but to call AAA the 3rd time and request a new roadside service. While I waited for the tow truck, I attempted to start the car and it did start after 10+ minutes.

All I know is that gas tank was half way full, battery charge was between 12.3v and 12.9v, when engine was running the alternator was charging the battery between 13.8v and 14.1v.

I have not checked any error codes yet, but at this point I am not sure where to start looking.

Please let me know if you had this problem, what was the cause and where I should start looking.

I would check for codes first then would check out the distributor could be a coil or ignighter. How many miles on the car?
