Default DC2 Integra Replacement Bucket Seats

Hi

I want to fit some bucket seats to my DC2 Type R because the old seats are getting pretty worn and to be honest id like some that wrap around me a bit more. If I change the original seats to these bucket seats (probably the ones with the harnesses) then how much work is involved. Would I be able to use the original subframes in the car or would I need to have some adaptors made? Has anyone here fitted seats like these and if so how much of a job was it?

Any help would be much appreciated!

I have Spoon Reclinable Seats in my ITR and I love them, they aren't suede so don't really have to worry about wear.

Are you looking for a fixed back seat or reclineable?

The thing with fixed back seats is that when you modify your safety system in the car its kinda of an all or nothing deal. Stock seats are meant to break at the reclining hinges to allow the occupants to slide back in the event of a rollover for when the roof caves in.

So if you replace with fixed back seats make sure to also include a rollbar (bolt-in or weld-in) and I personally would go with a minimum of a 5 point harness.

Don't know much about aftermarket reclineable seats. But besides the JDM recaro's I would only look into brands that are either DOT approved or have some FIA certification. Also with these seats I would use the stock restraint system.

JDM recaros are your best bet. they are a direct bolt in, have been safety tested and hold up really well. if you have an importer in your area reds have been averaging 600-700 and blacks 800-900 lately, add shipping on that if no one local has any.

i've had corbeaus, sparcos etc. none of those hold a candle to recaro.

Yeah. Elite Jdm never got back to me with pics. And Jdm engine dept don't have any that r in good shape to justify there asking price. And I don't have time to take a day drive to Canada. I work way to much.
