Which crank pulley for my H22?
I have searched around but all the pulleys I have found are underdrive pulleys. I don't want to spend a penny if there is a chance that I am going to have to replace it later due to loss of alternator output.
I will always have an entertainment system in my car (atleast one tv, power inverter >>> game system & laptop, atleast one big amp >>>> atleast one sub). Am I going to have ANY problems with the lower alternator output? (please assume a 1,000w amp, 2 12's, and a power inverter powering the game system & laptop). If voltage level is too low, power inverters automatically "trip" off.
I would imagine this is relevant. I have already deleted ps and air cond. However, I still plan on putting the AC back in at some point this summer.
I don't think underdrive is the way to go, but I can't find a very nice looking OEM size pulley!!
I like my new parts to look shiny..lol

OEM, ATI, Fluidamper or nothing. All others are total junk, especially the ones that are smaller diameter and made from aluminum or any other metal.
Do some research on, crankshaft dampening and harmonics to see why the cheap ones can harm an engine.

. I don't want to order one from autozone/etc, because I don't know what kind of generic part I may end up with...it may have lower quality than the shiny ebay crap.Guess I will continue to search the junkyards for OEM H22.

the aftermarket "shiney" ones are going to cause problems with your main bearings in the long run. They do not have the rubber in them that dampens harmonic vibrations. Unless you are building a show car that is going to sit and not run. . . please don't put a underdrive crank pulley on it. A ATI dampner is not going to be cheap either. but as the old saying goes. you have three words to choose from but you can only pick two. . . cheap, fast, reliable. you cant have all three.
