Electrical issue
so i have an electrical issue like stated in my title on a 90 crx dx,
i traced back back wires and have came to a conclusion but i wanna get some opinions on it to see if my diagnostic skills are doing me justice....
Problem: brake lights are staying on only when lights are turned on with the ignition switch both on and off
My conclusion: after changing out the brake switch thinking that may have been the issue, the problem still existed. so i did some voltage drops and all four brake lights have 4.5 volts to em when the lights are on, and from my knowledge they are only supposed to have bout half that voltage with the running lights on, and 4.5v only the vehicles brake pedal is being depressed,
well i have came to a conclusion of that the actual combo switch may be problem due to the fact that only when the lights are is when my problem happens and when the lights are turned off everything stay off....
if i twas my brake switch the brake lights should be on at all time no matter the lights being on or off
WHAT DO YOU GUYS THINK ABOUT THE CONCLUSION I HAVE CAME ACROSS????? OPEN TO ALL OPINIONS AND DIAGNOSTIC TIPS

My money is on replacing the combo switch.. they are somewhat unreliable.. You might try to get one from a junkyard to replace it, because they are $$$ from honda.
They go for 160 from a pepboys or autozone after tax (California) but I did replace it and it hasn't changed anything so tomorrow I'm going to go back do more voltage drops and see if I can pin point it...
