is there much tuning you can do with a near stock 8th gen si? i hear lots of people say you can get more power out of a bone stock si.. i have an injen sri and just wondering if anywhere can tune it so i get some extra power out of it? or will i have to get some sort of ecu upgrade for that like flashpro and such

Flashpro and a good header give good gains. If your against getting flashpro then don't bother doing any more mods, it's pointless...flashpro is a must, even on a bone stock si, drives much much better and no more retarded rev hang and laggy *** throttle.

what about other power programmers such as hypertech or apexi neo vafc? i know flashpro is probly the best but 1.. i dont know how to tune.. 2.. nobody around here knows how to tune, they are retarded and useless aorund here when it comes to that.. i tried CWS tuning when i had my prelude but they wouldnt service your car if megan fox walked in with a 100$ bill hanging out of her zipper

So if you don't know how to tune why on earth would you want a apexi vafc?!?!?!?!? That thing is half the price of flashpro and does less then a 1/4 of what flashpro does AND is far less intuitive to use?!?!

Flashpro has a decent amount of tuned basemaps for common part combos and theres always the option for E-tunes. Trust me when I say it's worth it JUST for the rev hang and lowering the vtec point, sure vtec not longer "pops" but it's no longer slow pos until 6000rpm. Read into this more and you'll see it comes down to flashpro or stop modding your car, it's just that simple.

I'm not trying to be a dick or anything, just trying to save you headaches for buying stuff you really don't want or need.

Oh, last thing, flashpro simply plugs into your OBD port and a vafc HAS to be wired into your engine harness(more **** to go wrong and if you ever need to warranty anything gonna be ALOT harder to put back to stock)

Don't waste your money on anything other than FlashPro. It's a good mod even if your engine is bone stock.

You can use a premade flash for a stock motor made by Hondata, and it'll increase your midrange power by a good amount; looking at the dyno graph on Hondata's website, the stock motor made 20+ HP at certain RPM. Peak power doesn't change, however.

As already mentioned, it'll also get rid of the rev-hang, which is almost worth the money for the Flashpro just for that alone.

One more thing; if you don't know how to tune, then don't. If you mess around with Flashpro without knowing what you're doing, you'll do more bad than good. Just use the premade flashes that come with the Flashpro. They have several flashes made for different mods.

Get Flashpro. I'd recommend http://www.e-tunez.com for an e tune.
