I just got my head back from the machince shop brand new supertech valvetrain, guides, seals you name it, i also picked up soem itr cams im going to be throwing in there. i currently have the stock exhaust manifold on. I found tri y headers from speed factory for 250. Is it worth getting the headers for when i get the car tuned for the cams, or will the stock manifold be pretty close?

 

It wouldn't be my first choice but for the money it's def worth it. Almost any header would be an improvement over stock.

 

Would the headers or a set of adjustable cam gears be more vital when getting my setup tuned with the cams?

 

With ITR cams I would go with the header you won't see much gains by adjusting the cam gears with those cams.

 

^ agreed stock cam gear are fine with CTR/ITR cams. Go on Ebay and get a Hytech style for $160 all day long. Very good gains with this header. For sure get the header, intake, cams, exhaust ect you will be running before you get it tuned.

 

hytech or toda replica's. proven many times to be the top performers.
