Default Not a Honda...But.......rear end gears in 98 Mustang???

What all is involved in putting new rear end gears into a 98 Mustang. How long will it take approximately? Will I need any new seals or bearing or anything like that? Any tolerances need to be checked? I obviously have never even touched a Mustang before but someone here has gotta know something. Thanks..........

well, I'm know expert but I do know that it is considerably easier to install final drive gears on a mudstain (not flaming, I used to autoX a 99 Cobra in ESP) than in our FWD wonders. Maybe try going to muscle mustangs and fast fords, they may have links to mustang boards where you're question could be more thoroughly answered

wel, YOU are not gonna be able to do it. You need about $400 worth of quality tools to measure the runout, backlash, and other items.

Let someone who knows what they are doing install them.

Yes I do play with V8's also. Have been playing for 20 years!
