Default Low hanging exhaust..

Alright so sadly before the winter i thought i was good backing up into this slightly slanted garage, and my exhaust got caught on the cement and pulled my whole exhaust towards the front of the car

I ended up pulling it back towards the back of the car and everything still fits fine although there is still a slight bend in the exhaust. I am going quite low in the near future and i know this is going to cause some issues as DA's unerbodys hang pretty low as it is.

Does anybody know what the simplest way of fixing this issue?

not really. that's just the design of the manifold. you can't change that. you'd basically have to rework the entire manifold.
and that flex pipe doesn't look happy

it has never been like this. When you are far away from the car you can notice it hanging extra low which was caused when the whole exhaust got pulled forwards after the flex pipe got caught.

must have bent the manifold. not sure if that can be fixed cost effectively. check where it bolts to the head. make sure you didn't pull any threads. take a close look at the manifold. see if you can spot where it might be bent

on a side note, just saw your build thread. car looks great otherwise!

Stick a 2x4 and a jack under it. Heat it up a until it glows then slowly jack it up

Would this actually work? what would you use to heat it up?

Yeah it would work I've done it on a few cars. I just used a torch to hear it up till it glows orange jack it up a pump or two heat it again and another few pumps. Always go a little higher then where you want it becuase when you let the jack down the pipe will fall a bit too

Make sure to put the jack and 2x4 on the flange with the flex pipe and heat it from the bend and a few inches towards the flange so it will be re bending the original bend

Sounds good I will try this tonight. Any precautions I should take while using the torch?

Don't get it so hot it melts if you use a cutting torch don't hit the oxygen so it cuts. Keep it close so you don't get any lines

Well, i couldn't dig up the torch, but i decided just to jack it up and leave it like that overnight. If that doesn't do it i will keep looking for the torch and hopefully the heat will do the trick.

heres a picture if you guys are curious haha

The only thing with doing that is your putting stress on the manifold bolts I would be careful doing it without heat. I know how it is to want it done yesterday so you try other ways but be careful you don't mess something else up in the process.

Yea I took that in to consideration, I checked all the bolts and they seemed to be fine. But I guess leaving it like that over night might but some stress on them. I will use heat tonight and let yoU know how it goes

So found the propane torch, and just as i suspected it does not have the enough heat to heat the exhaust up.

Any other ideas on what to do besides tearing out my whole down pipe and replacing it? ( turbo manifold )

i cannot drive the car like this as it is almost scratching the ground when i am lowered

find someone who has oxy-acetylene torches. or just take it to a shop and tell them what you want done. shouldn't cost much at all
