Hello all. I'm replacing a head gasket on a b18a1 engine. I can't seem to find the right head bolts. My manual says there's 9short and 1 long bolt for the b18a1. But when I look up head bolts they say the set has 8 short and 2 long bolts. Any thoughts?

 

My factory manual does not give the number of each length. But the part sites say there are two long and eight short.

Short: 90005-PR4-A01
Long: 90006-PR4-A01

 

Do the b18a1 and b18b share the same head bolts? From what I hear the do but my manual says they are different. I just want to make sure I put the right bolts in.

 

you can reuse your old bolts so long as they're in good shape still.

My factory manual makes no such claim. They are the same bolts.

And as el crapitan says, these are re-usable bolts; you don't need to buy new unless the old ones are damaged.

 

Its 8 short and 2 long. And yes they are the same... They aren't very cheap tho, for a little more cash you can get arp studs.
