Anyone try one? because of shipping, It was cheaper for me to order one of these than the standard battery. I'm a little worried that these are just hype.

I don't think lithium is hype... what are your concerns?

 

I know that lithium it self is great.

simply put, the charging system on my bike wasn't designed for my LiFe. I found another brand of Li motorcycle batteries that had bad reviews. saying they lasted for about a month, they are only for race day etc etc. From what I could tell, Shorai IS the name brand when it comes to LI moto batteries. Shorai say they last 2x as long but I would rather hear it from a 3rd party. every review I've read sounds like it was endorsed by Shorai.

 

i got the battery in the mail today. So far so good! they weren't joking when they said they were light. The package that was delivered felt empty. voltage meter showed 13. something out of the box. cranks over like a new battery. I'll follow up in 6 or so months assuming the battery doesn't die before then.
