98 INTEGRA LS A/C PROBLEMS!!!
SO I BOUGHT A 98 LS FROM THE ORIGINAL OWNER. THE ONLY PROBLEM IS THAT 1 AND 2 ON THE A/C ONLY BLOW WHEN THE CAR IS MOVING... AND THE VENTS STAY OPEN EVEN WHEN THE CLIMATE CONTROLE IS SET TO OFF... WHAT CAN THIS BE????
Are you sure the blower is actually working on speeds 1 and 2 and that it's not just air being moved into the cabin from the car moving? If the blower works on some speeds but not others it's probably the blower motor resistor. I work in a shop and that's almost always the problem. And the only way to stop air moving in through the vents is by pushing the recirculate button
Also, the caps lock key is right next to the A key...

Hmmm... I can't imagine why it would work only when the car is in motion. For how easy it is I'd just go to autozone and pick up a blower motor resistor and try it. If it doesn't work you can just return it.
i tryed what u said about pressing the recirculate button and that stopped the air from coming in... its not the climate controle is it? i was thinkin it could be the blower motor..
You will need to check the blower motor, it's easy.
In most cases if the blower resistor is the problem the blower will work on fastest speed, [speed 4].
At the blower motor plug, [bottom of the blower motor] test for power, [blue/white lead of 2pin plug] the ign. switch must be on.
If there is power on the blue/white, use a jumper lead to supply a ground directly to the other lead in the plug, [blue/black] if blower works the problem is not the blower motor, blower motor relay or a fuse, it may still be the resistor and it will need to be checked, [bypassed]. 94

You should follow the steps listed by fcm first. But this is behind the glove box
And here's a picture of the blower motor, just in case it'll help you:
If you'd like I can post a flowchart for diagnosing blower motor problems but fcm's post is all you need. If it was me I'd just change the resistor because it's common and easy to do and if it doesn't work you can always take it back
It costs you nothing and saves you time to check first and then go and buy the defective part, if there is one.94

and yea, those pics are acting up. as i type this, i'm scrolling down and that pic is coming up as srs components diagram. but in the thread it shows a circuit diagram
Blower resistor is mounted to the top of the blower housing, pull the glove box to access it.
#5 is the resistor... http://www.acuraautomotiveparts.org/...ystemcomp=List All&vinnoT=&trim=&trans=&view=normal, it mounts into the case directly below it, right in front of the recirc door. 92
